Our internal design team
are able to offer
a fully comprehensivve design service within the above areas, whilst taking on the design resposibility for the systems if required.
With the introduction of new British standards such as BS5839 1;2002 covering fire detection and alarm systems for buildings, it will be mandatory that the design is certified by the designer. To this end BTS's design team are qualified to produce such certification & advise of variations which should be adhered to.
Our aim is to design, commission and maintain our fire alarm systems to the level of LPS1014 standard guidelines, with our ultimate aim being to gain full LPS1014 accreditation. this standards guideline offers greater insurance of the protection of liffe and property throughout a building's lifetime.

During any system installation a customer will be able to contact a systems project engineer who has been allocated to that project. The project engineer will be fully conversant with the installation standards and project details, so you can rest easy knowing that all the correct equipment, drawings and labour will be in place as needed.
Project engineers will make site visits throughout an installation to ensure that the project complies entirely with standards all in readiness for the commissioning and handover stage of the project.
|
 |
 |
At the earliest stages of commissioning each site address is located in our site database & given a unique system ID number. Our engineering team then tests the functionality of all parts of the system, logs the results and then confirms with the client the the system is now fully operational.
The project is then certified as completed and the warranty period commences. Our commissioning team will then leave all relevant after sales information, including support information, equipment lists and drawings with the clients.

British standards recommend that fire alarm, emergency lighting and security systems should be maintained by qualified specialists. It is the customer / user's responsibility to ensure that adequate provisional maintenance has been put in place to comply with the requirements of the standards.
BTS offers a range of maintenance agreements to help you with this:
- Platinum : Quarterly visits, along with free parts and labour and out-of-hours call-out
(response time of 8 realtime hours)
- Gold: Quarterly visits, along with free parts and labour and out-of-hours call-out
(response time of 8 working day hours)
- Bronze: Quarterly visits to conduct routine maintenance of the system to conform with the manufacturers gidelines and BS5839.
Where a customer has specific requirements we can create a maintenance package tailored to the individual requirements of the site and business activities.

BTS offers a call-out servie to all users of any system with engineers operating nationally, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
Our team of experienced engineers are ready to deal with all types of enquiry and will attend site out of hours if required. Once your service call has been registered with our central monitoring station our engineer will contact the user within 15 minutes.
this speedy initial response alleviates the initial panic of a system failure and allows the service engineer to decide whether the situation requires an immediate site visit, a site visit needs to be arranged, or whether the issue can be dealt with over the phone.
